Devices

In CoreSnap, everything starts with the device.

A device record represents the real piece of hardware you want to configure, update, and operate through the platform.

What a device record gives you

  • Identifying a physical unit in the platform
  • Associating the unit with the correct board profile
  • Tracking firmware eligibility
  • Storing and retrieving configuration
  • Attaching media assets such as sounds, playlists, and animations

Why this matters

Most workflows in CoreSnap begin here. If the wrong device is selected, everything after that gets riskier, especially firmware, configuration, and media management.

Good practice

Give devices names that make sense in the real world. When you are troubleshooting or pushing updates, that clarity saves time immediately.
