Quick Start
This is the fastest path to a working CoreSnap setup.
The goal is simple: get a device into the platform, match it to the right hardware profile, push the right assets, and make sure everything is behaving the way you expect.
Some parts of that flow depend on your role. In particular, firmware release management is usually an admin task.
What you need
- Access to the CoreSnap web application at
app.coresnap.net - A user account with permission to manage devices
- A supported device that can connect to the platform
- The correct board profile for your hardware
- Access to the right firmware release, if the device still needs to be flashed
Recommended first-run flow
- Sign in to the web application.
- Create or confirm the device type you want to work with.
- Add a new device record.
- Assign the correct board profile.
- If your role allows it, upload or confirm the right firmware release.
- If your setup uses USB flashing, use the Browser Flasher to write the selected firmware to the board.
- Apply the initial configuration.
- Upload sounds, playlists, or animations if your device uses them.
- Verify the device appears healthy and responds as expected.
Expected result
By the end of this flow, you should have a device registered in CoreSnap, linked to the right board profile, flashed if needed, configured correctly, and prepared for media-driven behavior where needed.
If you are blocked
- If you cannot sign in, see Troubleshooting.
- If the device cannot be added or found, see Add a Device.
- If flashing or firmware access is the blocker, check Flash from the Browser and Upload Firmware.
- If configuration fails, go to the related guide and re-check the basics before trying again.
