Firmware

Firmware is how you keep compatible devices on the version they are meant to run, and now CoreSnap can also help you flash supported boards directly from the browser.

What firmware management includes

  • Publishing firmware builds
  • Matching firmware to the right hardware profile
  • Flashing supported boards from the browser when the right releases are available
  • Checking which version is current for a device

Why it matters

Firmware changes have real impact. When they go well, the system stays aligned and predictable. When they go badly, you can end up pushing the wrong software to the wrong hardware. That is why profile and target validation matter so much here.

Good practice

Treat firmware publishing as a controlled step, and make sure release names are clear enough that another person on the team can tell what they are for at a glance.

Access note

In many setups, firmware publishing is restricted to admins. Regular users may still work with devices and other content, but they should not expect every firmware action to be available to them.
