Add a Device

Add a new device to CoreSnap so you can configure it, update it, and attach media to it.

Before you begin

• Confirm the device type you want to use
• Gather the identifying information your team uses for device records
• Confirm the hardware you are about to register is the one you intend to manage

Steps

1. Sign in to the CoreSnap web application.
2. Open the device management area.
3. Create a new device record.
4. Enter a clear name and any required identifying fields.
5. Select the correct device type.
6. Save the device and confirm it appears in the device list.

Expected result

The device is now visible in CoreSnap and ready for the rest of the setup flow.

Common mistakes

• Creating duplicate records for the same physical device
• Using a vague device name that makes future operations harder
• Selecting a device type that does not match the intended use case
